Hi my name is Johnny Cavazos and I am originally from the Rio Grande Valley near South Padre Island. I was born and raised in the city of Harlingen, Texas. I moved up to San Antonio to attend college at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I received my degree in Business Management with a concentration in Small Business and Entrepreneurship. I always wanted to open my own business and finally took the leap of faith by partnering up with Colorado Insurance to open up my own agency. I come from a financial services background, so I know the importance of planning for the unexpected and having the right amount of coverage.
I currently reside in Boerne, Texas with my wife Candyce Cavazos. We enjoy hanging out and entertaining our family and friends. I like to watch all kinds of sports but especially basketball. I enjoy hanging out at the beach, playing basketball and golf. One day I want to retire and live in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!
The combination of an exploding population, motorists not carrying sufficient coverages and hail have caused rates to increase. Did you know that your auto insurance is rated on your current limits of protection? Allow me to show you how to combat rising auto insurance rates in the state of Colorado.
Active wildfire seasons, relentless hail/wind storms and a hot real estate market translate to unstable property insurance rates. Many roofs carry an “actual cash value” clause and are claimed under a separate, typically higher wind/hail deductible. Don’t wait until there is a claim to understand your policy.
Umbrella policies pick up where your underlying property, auto and other underlying limits stop. Having an umbrella policy can protect you and your family’s current AND future assets. If you are liable for damages that exceed your current coverages, wages can be garnished and liens can be placed on your assets.
Regardless if you belong to a private lake/reservoir that requires you to carry a certain amount of boat liability, you should always max out your boat liability to the available limit which is usually $500,000. Furthermore, you should always set your uninsured boater limit to match that at $500,000. Insuring your boat’s trailer with the correct stated value is also a necessity on your boat policy. Then of course you have your available comprehensive and collision deductibles which can be set at your specific needs.
